Startup 1.0 (Grades 1 – 12): We believe that children will be the game-changers of tomorrow, the ones who will bring positive change to our communities and the world. We want to ignite and nurture their entrepreneurial mindsets with programs that develop their ability to create ideas, and to turn them into reality. Whether children work on passion projects or on social and environmental change, we want them to be able to get things done. Our carefully developed program Startup 1.0 is delivered in a variety of formats and always consists of three modules – Explore, Create, and Build.
Startup 2.0 (Grades 3-12): This program activates the entrepreneurial mindset in students and moves beyond the principals of entrepreneurship to explore the Lean Startup approach in detail. Students create a business concept working together as a group, pitch during a student startup Showcase Expo, and have the opportunity to win prizes and recognition.
Entrepreneurial Learning Labs (Grades 1-12)
Learning to have the mindset and skillset of an entrepreneur will be invaluable throughout students’ education and career, particularly as career opportunities change and STEM fields grow at a rapid pace. The curriculum features hands-on activities that inspire curiosity, creativity, and collaboration, while teaching students how to think entrepreneurially, identify and anticipate diverse societal needs, and create products and services that fill those needs. The lessons introduce students to the fundamentals of the entrepreneurial mindset and skillset and how the entrepreneurial process can bring new creations or solutions to life. Students will learn to embrace and reimagine failure as a learning process and become more confident and creative problem-solvers. They will learn new ways for effective brainstorming and how to apply design-thinking. They will conduct market research, and practice pitching, presenting and public-speaking.
Exploring Careers (Grades 8-12): This course teaches emphasizes reflection on personal skills —laying the groundwork for successful academic, career, and life-planning. Students explore all phases of managing a career including assessing what jobs fit their skills and personality, how to find a first job, how to advance in their chosen career and how to balance work and life. Through exploring the world of work and various careers, students discover their personal strengths and begin to activate their entrepreneurial mindset. Students learn basic economics, personal money management and financial planning, and introductory business financial management and calculations. There is also a mock career fair organized by the kids at the end of the programme.
Startup 3.0 (Grades 10-12):
Detailed startup know-how and endless topics are delivered in this program designed for middle and high school students who want to dive deeper in to business acumen, seek alternative career paths and explore growth opportunities for their startups.
